I watched their win against Man City at Anfield where they were all at sea in the second period and where City were the only ones likely to pounce for the winner. Then on a moment of madness, Kompany delivered them the win. Silva had previously the winning goal on his toes but did not convert. This is a game of centimetres. Sunderland then did the Kops the greatest favours of all by getting points off both Chelsea and Man City.
